Mariah Carey has a new album in the works

Singer Mariah Carey had said in an interview with television show Entertainment Tonight in 2006 that she has begun work on a new album.

Though no information regarding details of the album have been released, or who will be featured on the album it is still noted to be in the early stages of the creative process.

The new album will be her 15 studio album and is tentatively set for a 2007 release date, due out around the fall season.

Her last album ‘The Emancipation of Mimi’ was released in 2005 and saw huge success on the charts and was overall well received by the industry gaining ten Grammy Nominations and winning three of them.

Though the most successful album of her career to date, Carey most likely knows now what makes a great hit and we should expect some great collaborations and sounds on her new album.

But for now we do know that she has been doing some work with Bone Thugs-N-Harmony.

Carey has collaborated with the group for their comeback album, ‘Strength and Loyalty’, which is due out in stores April 17.

It seems that the collaboration effort came from a promise that Carey had made with the group years ago and she kept it.

Carey also brought in Bow Wow to add his touch to the track ‘Lil L.O.V.E.’

Among helping out the guys in Bone Thugs-N-Harmony , a pairing that would almost seem unlikely is Carey’s enlisting of Country singer Willie Nelson to co-write a song.

Though totally not out of this world, the song will be a track for her upcoming movie called ‘Tennesse’ in which Carey plays a waitress who happens to be an aspiring songwriter.

Anyone knows of Mariah Carey sees a gorgeous and talented singer, but it seems that Miss Mariah has a complex about her looks and doesn’t see what the rest of us do.
