The band broke announced their pending breakup in 2003 before scheduling one final concert which was performed for free in Boston called 'The Last Dispatch'.

Fans reportedly came from all over the world to see the concert which gathered an audience of between 10,000 and 30,000 concert goers.

Their documentary was release in 2005 which chronicled their last twelve days together as a band which in turn tells the story of how the band was formed.

Despite the band break up all member remained active in the industry. Chad Umston became the front man of rock band State Radio, Brad Corrigan and Pete Heimbold have both pursued solo careers.

Earlier this month the band announced that they would be participating in a benefit concert which will take place in the coming summer month of July.

The concert will be held at Madison Time Square and is being titled as a '100% benefit concert'.

All money raised from ticket sales will be given to various charities involved in aiding the population in Zimbabwe who are suffering from disease, famine, and social crimes. A portion of the money will also go to some local New York charities as well.

Though since the announcement of the event tickets have sold out within half an hour. The band has added dates which have also sold out quite quickly.

Band member Urmston had lived in Zimbabwe after high school where he lived and taught in 1994. It was after this experience that the band formed a charity called The Elias Fund which believes there is strength in community and education.

Our Thoughts
Where the government may fail to give aid, it is people like the members of Dispatch, and other well known celebrities who are donating their time and money to help the African nation get back on it's feet.
