On February 23 of next year expect to see ‘Promiscuous’ singer Nelly Furtado on one of televisions most popular daytime soap opera’s.
Playing as herself, the Grammy Award winner will show off her vocal talents on ABC's "One Life To Live".

Her performance will take place at a club called the Capricorn which is owned by the soap opera’s character, Antonio Vega who is played by Kamar de los Reyes.
Furtado will be performing ‘Say it Right’, and her hit song ‘Promiscuous’ both from her latest album ‘Loose.

Both One Life to Live’s cast and the executive producer, Frank Valentini, are more than thrilled to have Furtado appear on their show.

Valentini says, "The cast and I congratulate Nelly on her Grammy nomination and are thrilled that she will perform her nominated song on "One Life to Live."

He added, "We are proud to have hosted a tremendously talented group of musicians on our show and always look for opportunities to collaborate with artists from the music industry."

Other musicians have graced the daytime soap opera including Mary J. Blige, Jeannie Ortega, Lifehouse and Tito Puente Jr., who all performed in 2006.

Earlier than 2006 the show was able to have Simply Red, Chris Botti and Erykah Badu perform on their show.

Recognized as her most successful album to date, Nelly Furtado’s stardom has shot through the roof with ‘Loose’ reaching number one spots in several countries.

The last time she saw such success was with her debut album in 2000 ‘Whoa, Nelly!’, we saw a fresh new face with songs encompassing a mixture of genres and sounds.

In 2003 she release ‘Folklore’ which didn’t do so well, the album focused on songwriting rather than the fusion of genres and sounds, however it was a big hit in Germany.

Our Thoughts
Why is it that things that don’t go over well here achieve higher levels of success in Germany? David Hasslehoff’s singing for example… what are they seeing that we don’t?
