Dashboard Confessional readies next album

Dashboard Confessional has had a strong following of fans, from its inception in 2000 with the album, “The Swiss Army Romance”.

Regardless of the success that Dashboard Confessional has experienced, they have not released an album since the 2003 release, “A Mark, a Mission, a Brand, a Scar”, which sold over 500,000 units during its first year.

This year brings a gift to the Dashboard Confessional fans everywhere, with another album (which has yet to be titled) ready for release this June via Vagrant Records.

Chris Carrabba, the singer of Dashboard Confessional, worked closely with producer Daniel Lanois on the album, but most of the completed songs have been re-worked with the help of producer Don Gilmore.

Gilmore and Carrabba have worked together previously; the Spiderman 2 soundtrack features the song, “Vindicated” by Dashboard Confessional and produced by Gilmore. Ever since that first song union, Carrabba and Gilmore have begun working more closely with each other.

The first single of the album is “Don't Wait” and is pumped with lots of energy.
